The Human Beast - Volume One (1970)

The Human Beast - Volume One - 1970 - Artwork

This was only album trio Human Beast Scotland (Edinburgh) recorded within 12 hours for Decca. This outstanding album had gone on the market and the team quickly ended his life. At the time when the LP is released, sold very poorly and today is a great rarity. The original UK pressing in perfect condition even have to pay around £ 1000. However, equally rare German pressing on Ebay price reaches 300-400 Euro.

In the 60s, Decca was one of the biggest record label, a true giant in the

Quatermass is an album by British progressive rock band, Quatermass, first released in May 1970. It has been described as "a keyboard dominated chunk of heavy progressive rock... a popular part of the eccentric Harvest label." Based around organ, bass and drums, Quatermass is regarded as a quintessential

Great album, although almost absolutely divided between sides - A side consists of bunch of pop rock tunes with some light prog overtones, mostly in vocal department, and in some guitar melodies. Even if not the highest desire for a prog rock enthusiast, they're pleasurable to say the least: I can't say a single bad thing about these songs - they're attractive, well played, catchy, great in technique and even original in lyrics department. The only complaint I'm addressing to this bunch of the songs

Sir Lord Baltimore was an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York, United States, formed in 1968 by lead vocalist/drummer John Garner, guitarist Louis Dambra, and bass player Gary Justin. Some have cited the 1971 review of their debut record, Kingdom Come, in Creem magazine as containing the first documented use of the term "heavy metal" to refer to

First album recorded as Flied Egg called "Dr. Siegel's Fried Egg Shooting Machine" is surely the best record Shigeru Narumo & his friends ever done. Improvement over "When The Raven Has Come To The Earth"(recorded as Strawberry Path) is really huge. The most important is that band's leader

Never Never Land is the 1971 debut album by the UK underground group Pink Fairies.

The group were formed when the three musicians from The Deviants, having sacked their singer and leader Mick Farren, returned from a disastrous tour of the West Coast of North America and hooked up with Twink. These musicians had previously collaborated on Twink's Think Pink prior to the tour, and during the tour Twink, Farren and Steve Peregrin Took had used The Pink Fairies Motorcycle Club and All-Star Rock and Roll Band name, taken from a story written by Jamie Mandelkau, as an umbrella for their activities, including one gig in Manchester.

Polydor Records commissioned the group to record a

Flash was an English progressive rock group, formed by former Yes guitarist Peter Banks and vocalist Colin Carter in August 1971. Bassist Ray Bennett, and Mike Hough on drums completed the line-up.
The band went into the recording studio in November 1971 to record its debut album, and performed its first gig on 14 January 1972. Coincidentally, exactly one year later, on 14 January 1973, Flash would fill New York's Philharmonic Hall.

There is some controversy over whether

Best of all, the band features a pair of women whose voices seem to have

"From Basel, Switzerland, Circus had much success in Europe, with three studio albums and a document of them in concert (which we presume to be a bootleg). Formed in 1972, Circus took time to refine and hone their style, a complex rock with jazz and classical angles, and a rather unique instrumentation. Yes, remarkably, Circus played rock music without any

"A little-known powerhouse of a band, Fusion Orchestra was one of the best of the many long-lost British groups that celebrated the new progressive sound of the early 1970s.
